Travis County Provides Limited Property Tax Relief to Residents:
Maintaining the wealth of services to local residents results in high annual taxes for Travis county property owners. It's understandable that some property owners are overwhelmed with their increasing property tax burden, and find that they are unable to keep up with their property tax bills. For most Travis County residents, the only property tax relief available is a $10,000 homestead exemption. All other property owners in Travis County have until January 31st to pay their annual tax bill.
